Delectable Red Velvet - Black Forest Cake with Elegant Macarons in a Chocolate Spectacular

It’s that time again when The Casey Branch of the Victorian Cake Decorating Society hold our annual chocoholics day, this year again we are lucky to have Anne from the Mixing Bowl in Hallam as our demonstrator.

On: the 16th August 2014.

Time: From 1pm till approx 3.30pm

Location: The Old Cheese Factory, 34 Homestead Rd, Berwick.

Cost: Members $5.00: Non-members $10: Children under 16 $6

Well, as Fathers day is next month why not come & learn how to make & put together a Delectable Red Velvet - Black Forest Cake and if you like Macarons then don’t miss out on learning how to get those feet on your Macarons together with a few secrets of how to work with chocolate.

So come along watch, learn & best of all TASTE what you have learned.

Items used in the demonstration will be available to purchase on the day as Anne will be bringing along some of her shop & hubby Geoff.

Jolly Footballer Figurine Workshop


Looking for something to do as the weather gets colder? Why not join us for our Figurine workshop where Faye Cornish will be teaching you how to make a Jolly Footballer

List of requirements for Footballer.

Please bring your usual kit together with the following:
Small roller cutting wheel
Stitch Roller tools.
Scissors
Pliers or Cutters to cut Bamboo skewers
3 Bamboo Skewers
Tooth picks
Black & Red Pettinice or modelling paste, purchased or colored yourself. (About 1 teaspoon of black for his Boots & 1 teaspoon for his Jumped. I teaspoon of Red for his small Football

Liquid colors or food color Pens (Queens Brand from the supermarket is fine) Yellow, Rose Pink, Black, Blue for his eyes & Brown for his hair. Colours to suit your Team Jumper or you can do white and Paint Colors on.
Measuring spoons
Paper Mate Kilometrico Pen or plain round pen.
Tylos
200g Pettinice.
Knife
Tylos Glue (or what ever you use to glue your sugar paste)
6 inch Styrofoam block or large thick peace of foam
Small amount of copha
Small snap lock bags for your colored pastes
And container to take you work home in
We would appreciate it if you could please bring a small plate of savouries or sweets for afternoon tea and join us for what should be a fun afternoon, Tea and Coffee will be supplied.
